8/28/2025 Proctoring Update:

  • 📢 Announcement: Proctoring Services Expiring

    Effective August 28, 2025, at 8:00 AM ET, StraighterLine has removed proctoring from all final exams. This means:

    • Final exams no longer require proctoring.
    • Any scheduled proctoring sessions are no longer needed.
    • The “Proctored” column will be removed from all transcripts, even if you previously completed a proctored exam.

    StraighterLine remains committed to academic integrity through built-in safeguards, including identity verification, Turnitin originality checks, and faculty coaching on ethical decision-making.

    StraighterLine courses will no longer require a proctor for final exams. Below are answers to common questions to help you understand this change.

    What if I already scheduled a proctoring session?

    Your course no longer requires it. You’re free to complete the exam and finish your course without a proctor.

    Will my transcript indicate that a course is proctored if I already took a proctored exam?

    No. The “Proctored” column will be removed from all StraighterLine transcripts, even if the course was already completed with a proctored final exam.

    Does StraighterLine offer the ability to take courses that are still proctored?

    As of right now, StraighterLine does not offer courses with proctoring.

    How is StraighterLine continuing to uphold academic standards without proctoring?
